Weekend Workshops
Glencoe Weekend Workshops 2026
Price £1295
Each year we host a range of inclusive weekend workshops across Scotland, for 2026 these will be in Glencoe.
Each workshop begins on a Friday afternoon, includes two full days of photography and tutoring (Saturday and Sunday) and finishes on Monday morning. We offer collection and drop-off in Inverness, adding to the convenience of your weekend getaway.
These workshops are designed for people seeking to photograph the best locations in Glencoe in a short time frame. Our local knowledge will ensure you are in the right places to take great photos, in the given conditions.
Expect to be standing in front of big mountains scenes, impressive lochs and waterfalls. Other opportunities could include the Jacobite steam train passing over the Glenfinnan viaduct, Glen Etive, Glen Nevis, and much more.
Welcoming to beginners and pros alike, small group sizes of 5 will mean everyone receives personal guidance from Alex. Regular tuition will be provided throughout to improve your technical knowledge, push your creative abilities, and encourage you to think outside the box.
These unique workshops will feel like an adventure as we chase the best conditions across the Glencoe landscapes.

Your Guide:
Alex is an award-winning Scottish photographer who resides in Fort William and has spent years exploring and photographing Scotland, especially Glencoe. Who better to lead a workshop than someone who knows the areas like the back of his hand.
“Alex took us to wide variety of different locations around Glencoe, which offered many different landscape types, subjects and conditions. His knowledge of the local area is second-to-none, allowing him to quickly alter itineraries based on the weather conditions or specific requests from clients. He manages to pack a lot into each day without any of the stops feeling unduly rushed. He’s also happy to provide technical insight and guidance when asked to do so, but doesn’t force on anyone who doesn’t need it.”
